Third stage of the research project

As you know, SWOT is an acronym that stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats, and it is an essential component of the project. The following links will help you to find out more about how to do it:

The data you collected in the second stage will help to design this part of the project. The analysis can derive from customer reviews, opinions or information from press articles, where both internal aspects (strengths and weaknesses) and external aspects (opportunities and threats) will be drawn from. Remember to mention your information sources.

Virtual language exchange Emory University- CETT. Conversations 7 & 8

Below are the suggested topics and feedback guidelines for the next two conversations, which should have taken place by April 4. You can use the topic questions as a guide to engage in a conversation with your partner. At the end of the conversation, you should also give each other specific feedback in order to help you enhance your language skills by letting each other know what you did well and what you can do to improve in relation to the following aspects.

What suggestions would you make to improve your partner’s communication? Did he/she:

-speak fluently?

-use good pronunciation?

-use a lot of vocabulary?

-conjugate the verbs correctly?

-develop their ideas with details?

·       Conversation 7: Música

1. ¿Tocas algún instrumento musical? Si pudieras aprender a tocar algún instrumento, ¿cuál tocarías y por qué? 

2. ¿Crees que la música es importante en tu país? ¿Es importante para ti? ¿Para tu familia? ¿Tus amigos? 

3. ¿Tienes algún cantante o grupo favorito? ¿Qué tipo de música canta o toca? 

4. ¿Te gustaría ser cantante o músico famoso? ¿Por qué sí o por qué no? 

5. ¿Con qué frecuencia escuchas música? ¿Cómo la escuchas (en la radio, en el ordenador, el teléfono, etc.)?

8. ¿Hay algún tipo de música que no te guste? ¿Por qué no te gusta? ¿Qué tipo de personas escuchan esa música? 

9. ¿Qué tipo de música se escucha en las fiestas de tu ciudad? 

10. ¿Crees que la música tradicional debe conservarse? Si crees que sí, ¿qué se puede hacer para no perder este tipo de música?

6. ¿Crees que es posible que una película sea tan buena como el libro original? ¿Por qué? ¿Qué películas conoces que estén basadas en novelas?

Second stage of the research project

Now that you've chosen your product, you must find 80-100 customer reviews from one or several sources -preferably the more recent, the better. It is very important to discard irrelevant comments.

Next, you ought to represent the customer reviews through at least two graphs, one of which must necessarily be a line graph or a bar chart. The reasons underlying those opinions must be analysed statistically. You'll refer to these data in subsequent stages of your project and need to mention your information sources.

You should post the text of your statistical analysis (excluding graphs) on this blog. Don't forget to use the specific vocabulary for describing graphs and charts you learned at the beginning of the academic period! You can also check this website:
