This project is an improvement plan based on a study of an existing tourist product that is close enough for you to investigate first hand: a hotel, a theme park, a holiday package, etc. You must study the product, draw its real downsides and, using these downsides as a starting point, design an improvement plan. Continuous assessment students must carry it out in pairs, while final assessment students must do it individually.
The presentation must be 10-13 minutes long and will be followed by a few questions from the panel of examiners, adding up to a total of 15 minutes. Visual support is compulsory and it can be PowerPoint, Prezi etc.
Given the nature of this final project, you should choose a product that isn't too successful, so this way designing an improvement plan will be easier and more realistic. You can check out http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ or similar websites and pick a product which, in sight of the users' opinions, shows a need for improvement. Take into account that you'll need to look for 80-100 customer reviews. You can also choose a product based on your own experience (e.g. a hotel where you work or have stayed). However, you can't analyse Port Aventura, Hotel W, Ryanair, Horta maze, Carmel bunkers, Parc Güell or Tibidabo amusement park. Improvement plans for transport infrastructures aren't advisable either, since they're highly complex. Products shouldn't be repeated.
Post your product description on this blog, mentioning all the sources of information that you've used.

Hotel: Hotel Ilunion Almirante (Barcelona)
Description: The hotel is located in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, just 200 meters from the Cathedral and the Palau de la Musica, also a few minutes from the Borne area, which is famous for its variety of restaurants and its bohemian and elitist atmosphere. Guests can walk down the famous Ramblas, located less than 10 minutes walk, and in case they have to go somewhere further away they can use the metro station Jaume I , which is only 300 meters away.
Reason: We choose this hotel because we think that he has very issues that can improve. He has many bad reviews and for many reasons.

Hotel: Ding Dong Putxet (Barcelona)
Description: The hotel is located near the Gracia neighborhood and has a very large availability of public transport such as subways, buses and Catalan railways. Plus, you're lucky enough to be close to many of the area's pretty tasty restaurants. In the event that customers wish to travel to each site, they can opt for public transport or take a walk to see the emblematic architecture of the streets of Barcelona and the city's nightlife.
The reason why we have selected this hotel is because of the low rating that has caught our attention. We thought it was due to the few ratings it had, but if we go in to observe and analyze, we realize that many of the people who have stayed have made negative criticisms of the establishment about cleanliness, check-in and unfortunately serious problems with insects and rodents that were also staying at the hotel, but without paying and we think we can help solve the problem

Hotel: Hotel Joma
We choose this hotel because after all the hotels that we've checked this one has more than 100 reviews on google, also they have an average rate of 2.8 from 5 and 42% google reviews from customers are from 1 to 2 points, for this reason we have thought that we have enough evidence to design improvements for the hotel.

Hotel: Alba Hotel 3, Barcelona
The Alba Hotel 3 is located at the Ciutat Vella neighbourhood, which is Barcelona’s ‘old town’. It is near to many beautiful attractions of the city such as Las Ramblas, La Boqueria, Liceu Opera House, Paseo de Gracia and the unique and narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter. You can find many shops, bars and restaurants nearby as well.
The closest metro station is ‘Liceu’, which is only 300 away from the hotel.
Services that the hotel offers: WIFI, bike rental, laundry service, air-conditioning…
We decided to choose the Alba Hotel 3 because many of the reviews agree that the attitude of staff could improve, we found some clients complaining about the A/C not working which is an essential service, specially during the summer. We think that the hotel has things to improve but it has a great potential.

”Hostal ideal Badal”
Located near Rambla de badal, some clients said that the place is full of spider webs, mold and full of dust.
We are talking about a 2 stars hotel pretty near Camp Nou, Montjuic and Palau Sant jordi.
The hotel has nothing to do with the pictures they promote.
About its facilities, It disposes of a shared kitchen with fridge and microwave, and shared dining room and kitchen.
We have chosen this hotel because one person staying there claimed that his room hadn't windows. It was so hard breathing. And this place needs an inspection quickly.
And we found it a nice option to be discussed.
